Deliveries from Continental-VDO European warehouse:
Tachograph Webshop contains over 1500 Continental-VDO articles for transportation and automotive. These sensors, instruments and parts are not consumer products, but products for professional use. Compared to consumer products, Tachograph Webshop articles have a much lower turnover rate, resulting in longer delivery times than you are used to with consumer products
As official Continental, VDO distributor we, like other EU distributors, use the stock of automotive and industrial products in the European Continental-VDO warehouse in Germany.
For approximately 95% of the orders we are able to deliver these within 5 working days in the Netherlands. For Belgium the average is 7 working days. In about 5% of orders, the items are not in stock in the German EU warehouse and significantly longer delivery times may occur.
Partial deliveries of orders consisting of several articles are only possible in exceptional cases due to the extra transport costs.
If you are a consumer living in the European union, and the delivery time is longer than 30 days, you have the right to cancel your order free of charge according to the consumer delivery conditions.
Logistics inside the EU:
For the the countries of the european union we use PostNL or UPS to send your package. As soon as a package has been registered for shipping, you will receive a notification via e-mail.
When PostNL or UPS has received the package, you will receive an e-mail with the track and trace code to follow your package. Usually your package will be delivered the next working day. For Belgium it takes about 2 working days. The same applies to most other EU countries.
If your package is seriously damaged, we ask you to refuse the package and inform VDO-Webshop immediately by e-mail to: logistics@tacho-simple.com
Logistics outside the EU:
Deliveries outside the EU are exempt from taxes such as VAT. For shipments outside the EU, we use PostNL as standard. The transit times per country are available on the PostNL website. Please keep in mind that the local customs procedure can take a lot of time. For urgent shipments we use DHL Express or UPS Express on request. This involves high costs.
Service costs:
Service costs apply to products that need to be programmed for customer specifications before they can be used. This concerns, but is not limited to, CANBUS Instruments, Revolution counters, Speedometers, Multifunction displays. These costs are calculated on the basis of an hourly rate of 65 Euro per hour excluding VAT.

Not present at first delivery attempt:
The PostNL deliverer leaves a card with a 'non-home code'. With this code you can choose a new delivery moment yourself. This is possible until 22:00. If you do not do anything, PostNL will visit you again on the next delivery day (Monday to Saturday).
Not present on second delivery attempt:
Even then the deliverer will leave a ticket with you. This shows where you can pick up your package. This information can be found on the Track & Trace link sent to you.
Deliveries outside the Netherlands but within the EU:

Calculation of shipping costs:
Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight and dimensions of your order. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a cost estimate in advance. Once you have finished your orderpicking, you will get a clear overview of the shipping options and costs applicable to your order during the checkout process, before you have to pay. Do you disagree with these costs? Then you can easily cancel the order by closing your browser tab.
For international business customers we also offer incoterms EXW, FCA and FOB. These shipping methods mean that the customer is arranging shipping on his own responsibility and costs. In those cases we do not charge shipping.
