Data is collected by the box continuously, but is periodically put into AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) records, which are then sent to the VDO Fleet web application. Furthermore, the unit handles the retrieval and sending of tachograph files when the proConnect environment submits the request to the box (download frequency).
