Continental VDO proConnect Lite - Option - Private/Business Switch

The switch is an option on NL-12300000 (proConnect Lite). The switch state is read in and forwarded to the customer's web application so that a trip is properly recorded. The type of trip is determined after the trip is completed. When the ignition is off check what the switch position is and determines what the character of the ride just driven trip was.

• Lamp On: switch in private mode,
• Lamp Off: switch in business mode.

Important: without this switch, each driver must have a login to update his trips update (indicate private or business trips).

Private rides vs. privacy rides: Private/business is of a different level than privacy. Privacy can be requested from Continental. In this case, once the switch is set to "Private", an administrator can no longer track the ride on the map or the ride in Production cannot be viewed be viewed. Only the driver himself can view and edit these trips (note: the driver must therefore be identified!). Privacy settings apply to the entire customer and cannot be set per employee.
